Established in 1992, STEP Electric Co., Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of elevator control systems and elevator components in China. Since its establishment, there are already over 100,000 systems installed all over the world. The turnover of 2003 was 138 million RMB (or 14 million US$), and will reach estimately more than 200 million RMB (or 20 US$) in 2004. In June 2003, STEP has co-founded the Sino-German Joint-Venture “STEP Sigriner Elektronik GmbH” in Alt?tting, Germany with Anton Sigriner Industrie-Elektronik GmbH, which has been producing elevator control systems for over 20 years in Germany. With the establishment of STEP Sigriner, the STEP Group is now able to produce and deliver its products both from China and Central Europe. Due to high quality products and comprehensive services, the STEP products have been well received by elevator manufacturers both at home and abroad. The STEP branded elevator control systems are already installed in Germany, Great Britain, Denmark, Canada, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Malysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong etc. The main product program of STEP includes: SIG series 32-bit micro-processor controller, inverter for elevators, door controller, phase protection relay etc. STEP series: SmartCom.net micro-processor controller, different types of elevator control cabinets, group controller, residential/remote monitoring systems, STEP elevator components (car operation panels, cables, intercom, emergency power supply etc.
